SHIPPING:
We ask for a 3-5 Business day handling time before your order ships, due to high demand, inclement weather, and the fact that your orders are picked SAME DAY they are shipped. We generally get orders out within just a couple of days, but things do happen, and we do ask that you allow us the 3-5 days. All of our Fresh Pine Needles are shipped Priority Mail or Priority Express only thorough the Summer months so that they arrive to you as fresh as possible :)
Freshly Picked White Pine needles for tea (Pinus strobus). Grown organically on our farm. ( Also known as Northern White Pine or Eastern White Pine). They make a very delicate, drinkable Pine Needle Tea that is super High in Vitamin C, suramin, and other compounds :)
We also have Scots Pine Needle Tea available (My personal favorite!)!
These will be shipped Picked FRESH TO ORDER, and should be used, dehydrated, or frozen shortly after they arrive.
Pine Needle Tea Recipe:
Use a few tablespoons of rinsed, chopped (or whole) needles per cup, or about a half a cup of needles for a full pot. It is best to pour boiling water OVER the needles instead of boiling needles IN hot water, to preserve the nutrients, etc.. Let steep for 5-10 minutes, and enjoy! You can strain out the needles, use a tea bag, or leave the needles in the tea while you drink. Pine needles make an EXCELLENT iced tea, or hot. Added Honey, sugar, lemon, or mixed with other herbs or fruits can add a great flavor as well. I find that Straight Pine Needle tea has a light, delicate, refreshing flavor with an aroma of pine. I included a picture of a full pot of pine tea brewing for reference with added juniper berries.
Storage:
Fresh Pine Needles remain fresh for up to a month in the refrigerator, or up to 6 months in the Freezer. We recommend freezing your Pine Needles immediately.
