Whole Dried Cardamom Pods

USES:
A kitchen staple in India, Whole Green Cardamom Pods are the main flavoring spice of Masala Chai, and often used as a flavoring in bean dishes, stews, and other sweet recipes like puddings and desserts. Cardamom has a warm spice to it, and pairs well with things like Ginger, Allspice, and Clove. In the Middle East, it is used to flavor coffee and the traditional Kakakule tea.
Active Compounds:
Volatile oil, fixed oil, salt of potassium, chlorophyll, starch, nitrogenous mucilage, ligneous fiber, an acrid resin, and ash. The volatile oil contains terpenes, terpineol and cineol and limonene.
